Moshi Moshi!
I have been busy with emails from four of the balloon artists, and so far I am impressed with Mr.Ballonatix. He's been bearing with my kakulitan, and he is prompt in answering my texts and messages in his Multiply site. Not to mention he has the lowest rate among the artists I emailed. Judging from the pictures posted in his Multiply, his works are great too. So this week, I deposited the downpayment for Mr.Balloonatix and also for Symond the host so they can block my date already.
Hubby and I went to Divisoria for tokens and giveaways. We headed to Divisoria Mall basement area where almost all party needs are being sold. My eyes feasted on the colorful merchandise and for a while I was mental blocked for I did not know where to start. Good thing I was able to regain my focus and I gathered the things I needed- party hats, name tags, pinata, birthday banner, mini puzzles, mini notepads, sticker booklets, pencils and bubbles. Then we headed next to 168 Mall and there bought face towel as an added token. Last thing we bought were nice paper bags to put all these tokens. All these are good for 30 kids, and all these are Mickey Mouse.
Trip to Divisoria is always tiring, yet so much fun. Can't wait for my next Divi tour. Promise, I will go back after Migo's birthday.

The Migo Birthday Project: Week 1
..............................
Hola!
Let's get this straight: I am not getting a party planner. I know I can do this. I will handle the event by myself and I am certain I can pull it off. So on my first day of The Migo Birthday Project, I surfed the net to get ideas from experienced mommies out there who willingly shared their party-planning experiences. And where else can I ask for help, but my cyber homes- Girltalk and Smartparenting forums.
Based on what I read from these mommy-friendly forums, there are three major things to consider in handling a kiddie event: host, venue set up and food. So on my first day, I made a list of the highly recommended hosts and party decorator. As for the food, hubby and I agreed to get our suking caterer.
For the host, I considered Symond among others. I haven't seen him perform in any of the parties I attended, but since he is one of the most recommended, I texted him at once and asked if he would be available on my date. Lucky me, he is open. Good!
For the venue set up, I am considering
-Party Boosters
-TGI5
-Mr. Balloonatix
-The Comcept Queen
-The balloon artist recommended by Kyle's Balloons and Party needs in 168 mall (I failed to get his name)
I have yet to read feedbacks about them before I finally settle for who. For the meantime, I will go back to the forums to read, ask, and read some more about party planning.

Stress starts now...
Happy sunshine!
I cannot believe it's almost been a year since I gave birth. Now that my little sweetheart's first birthday is nearing, I cannot help but palpitate. First birthdays have always been a major event. Meaning, I have to turn myself into a busy mode and let no one dare bother me with the birthdays preps.
I introduced to hubby the idea of just celebrating it in a fast food so to avoid some of the stress. We all know that fast food celebration comes convenient for they offer different birthday packages that leave mommies not worrying too much of the bits and pieces of the preparation. Knowing hubby, he rejected the thought. So, let the party be in our humble garden. That means I have to think and do all the preparation for the birthday bash of our Migo. And thinking about it makes me excited and at the same time tired (already) for I know preparing for a first birthday will be fun, yet somewhat not easy. But for a first-timer like me, honestly, I feel hyper already.
