When it rains, it pours! And I love it!

Okay, let me get this straight. I HATE rain. There's no doubt about it. Rain can cause major activities of mine slow down, and most of the time, even do not push thru at all. So how sad could that be, right? But then, yeah, we need rain. Specially here in the tropical country of ours, where fields and lands and dams need rain, otherwise the Filipino people will be left with no rice to eat, no food to harvest, and no water to bathe with.

So what am I saying, "When it rains, it pours. And I love it!" all about? Let me not confuse you, for I am referring to blessings my dears. Yeah, blessings, blessings and more blessings! Just at this very blogging moment, rain outside won't stop and surprisingly I am not at all sad about it. Why? Well how could I afford to feel sad, when blessings come one after the other. And it's happening in one day and I think my heart cannot accommodate it.

I recently just got a task from Blogvertise which earned me some bucks. Resellers of my fragrance business keep on texting and giving me orders left and right. I won the bidding on a certain topic in Freelancer. And my hands are full with my regular daytime job. Whew! So tell me, how can I afford to feel sad, when all the blessings are pouring in this very day? How I love it!

I just pray hard that this happens in a regular basis. I will not complain if it this kind of "rain" pours on me everyday. And my umbrella will be upside down to catch all of it.

I have been staying home since April. I had a self-imposed bedrest so to help the baby inside me grow faster. His growth slowed down on my last two months of pregnancy and bed rest, according to my research, would be helpful.

Since then, I stopped earning from my profitable sideline and stopped getting allowance from my parents. Yes, I get allowance from my parents because I work for them and I do not get my sweldo on time so the allowance I get helps me survive my regular trips to the malls. Otherwise, my world will be dark and I will be insane.

I had to keep myself busy and entertained and the internet was such a great help. It became my BFF, and I could not live without it. He was my constant companion. After a month, the telephone bill arrived. Then it hit me. Where shall I get the payment for the telephone/internet connection now that I stopped collecting moolah. Elmer now shoulders the payment and I feel too bad about it, so I decide to do something about it.

I love trying out new products and I like commenting (read: criticizing) it. New shampoo in the market, new flavor of instant pancit canton, even the new all-korean pop group, hotels in Makati, newly opened resto in Morato. I always share my experience, satisfied or not, to friends so why not put it in writing, have it published and get paid? So I was convinced to sign up.
